C-Art 2014 is here!

C-Art is here! This year I have been lucky enough to have a piece of work in Rheged’s Pocket Exhibition. The exhibition is on until November 2nd. As well as my studio being open Thursdays through until Sundays 12 ’til 5pm, I will be running a workshop here at Milburn, on Oct 2nd on Experiential Drawing. Cost £40, hours 10-4pm.

Looking VERY far forward…

Funny (serendipitous?) how various strands of one’s creative adventures begin to entwine; the more one explores them, and importantly, exchange ideas with others, the more those ideas plait together… I am hoping that the variety of threads I follow, will begin to tie together in practice. As part of this, we will be holding some exploratory workshops where participants can…

Classes in the Autumn

C-Art approaches, so I’m trying hard to catch up on everything and and planning a series of workshops and classes for the Autumn term. Most popular are the Drawing Horses, either as a class, or as a day long workshop; and the You Can Draw :-), which will introduce drawers to the fundamentals of drawing; and Sparking Creativity, a workshop…

Combining pen and watercolour

Combining Pen and Watercolour Workshop at Vine and Roses, Penrith. One of the things I enjoy about delivering workshops is how I learn something each time, whether it be about methods or materials, or more interestingly, how people learn and what their experiences mean to them. One thing I learnt on this workshop was how different minds can experience different…
