Thank you for scanning! Dorothy Wordsworth probably sat on this little crag looking at Silver Howe countless times – it is little way up the path beside the Corpse Road, near Dove Cottage. Here I sat and painted it on a day when the sun was slightly in my eyes – and Grasmere shimmered, making the surrounding woodlands look rather dark and mysterious. The kind of day that gave Silver Howe its name I imagine. Look out for more QR codes.
