Artists on Art

The Wordworth Museum
2 – 4.30pm
Taking a closer look at the paintings on display in the current watercolour exhibition in the company of myself and another painter, Alison Critchlow. We will offer our own perspectives on the pictures in the exhibition, discussing the techniques and materials used, as well as considering the broader themes and significance of the collection. This will be followed by an open conversation about our own creative process which we will illustrate with some examples of our own work.
This afternoon session brings an informal look at the tradition of landscape painting, where it started and how it looks today. There will be ample opportunity for questions and conversation.
Cost: £5

“We want to show doing things that are fun, and being mindful of whatever we interact with contributes positively to our health in mind and body. There is research to support how art can contribute to our physical and mental wellbeing , which will be discussed at the event.’
